It’s tough to be a woman these days. Our forebearers fought so bravely for equal rights and treatment. The earlier feminists whittled away sexism and oppression, liberating us with each protest, book and TV appearance. We got the right to vote, work, and pursue our own paths. We got the right to divorce and escape toxic marriages. And if we go further back, the right to vote, own property, receive education, and run for public office. Things got better with each passing decade.
Now, however, we seem to be stumbling. We have record rates of mental illness and self-harm. We have found the corporate world can be just as unforgiving as domestic servitude. We are lost and blind, with nobody to lead us.
I say this because now women are faced with an abyss of freedom. So many choices, and we are often given so little instruction to how make them. We don’t even know how to define what’s good and what’s not for us. Men used to do this for us, but now we have been given the wonderful responsibility and also, great burden of doing it for ourselves. My own mistakes are the subject of another article, but I hope to provide women some greater structure for what paths we should and shouldn’t take in our new, freer world.
I am a practical person. I believe in discovering the truth, then building an authentic worldview as close to reality as possible around that. But I also believe in subjective preferences. We don’t all have to think the same thing, or act the same ways. The message of feminism is about becoming an individual.
We girls too often live in a world of appearances, not reality. We can’t be honest with men, each other, or even ourselves. I want to change that. We can’t become truly an individual self without radical honesty with ourselves and others.
But it’s not about me. I am only a messenger with a message to uplift women and girls everywhere. And maybe even some men, too. I want to give people a gift that I never had. Spiritual liberation and world dominance.
My project is literally about girl power. I am going to be communicating truths that can’t be said openly due to envy and social norms, but I am going to reveal the hidden truths about how girls can maximize their power in their lives by living in and openly recognizing reality.
Join me, as we take over the 2020s and beyond.
